Wedding Advice - Willpower

"Food may taste really good, but no food tastes as good as how being thinner feels."

I heard a woman saying this, and I don't think that there's a woman who secretly doesn't agree with it.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not promoting serious weight loss or saying that stick thin people are how we should look. But I do know that for your wedding day, you want to look MORE incredible than when you went dress shopping, you want to feel slim and confidently beautiful in your dress.

So, with your best interests at heart and to help you along, I have gathered a few little tips and advice for you to get into THAT dress, the one that the dress shop only had in a size too small and the one you wanted the most. Fear not, you'll be sprinting to the shop to buy it, faster than you could eat a mars bar!!

This isn't a diet or an exercise regime, in fact its really just common sense. Common sense in the form of five basic, simple things to think about that does need a little willpower but what doesn't?? And that's it!! No crash fad diet that will leave you starving yourself, with a dull complexion feeling tired and famished. You'll feel better than ever and look just how you want for the most special day.

HEALTHY, HEALTHY, HEALTHY...

  • It doesn't sound the best word honestly does it? "Healthy" has a sort of ring to it, just like "lettuce" and "carrots" somehow just don't seem AS appealing as a slab of moist, airy chocolate cake, drenched in chocolate fondant.
  • But the way to be, dare I say it, "healthy", doesn't mean eating rabbit food for the rest of your life, the key is moderation. That's another word that sounds boring compared to "no limit", but you can eat as much chocolate cake as you want to, but just in moderation. Have a piece of cake a week if you need to, but just not everyday!!
  • Aiming to eat five portions of fruit and veg a day really isn't a lot at all. And I can guarantee you'll eat more than five portions easily;
  • If you're having a pizza, add fresh vegetables on top of the pizza.
  • Having a sandwich at lunch? Add salad to it.
  • Add fruit onto your cereal or your dessert, strawberries on cereal is even more delicious than sugar and wont rot those teeth!
  • But salad doesn't have to be boring either, adding apples, grapes, cheese, egg, boiled potatoes, tuna, steak, duck, sausage or chicken; will make it taste so good!! And the dressings for the salads are so delicious; you can make any salad taste just the way you like it!! (You could have lettuce, shredded duck, strips of cucumber, spring onion and a hoi sin spicy sauce for a Chinese kind of taste, or for a Thai salad; lettuce, pineapple, chicken strips, cucumber, tomatoes, green beans, with a sweet chilli sauce as a dressing.) The possibilities are endless and you really will enjoy a salad instead of a heavy meal.
